I love to travel around our beautiful countryside, discovering new places and things to see and do, but never more so than with my husband Neil, our two Chinese Crested dogs, Stanley and Lilly, and often in our campervan. Come and explore with us. I’m Heather, by the way.
Another one of my passions is our family business Jalapeño WarmWear. It really is a family business where all six Members (Mum, Dad and 4 kids) contribute and have an important role to play. Read about our journey here.
Travelling through the British countryside is a varied and joyous experience, if you are able to take the time to explore the quirks and pleasures of our “Green and pleasant land.” From Land’s End to John o’Groats, there are options aplenty to spend time and discover new places. I will document some of the gems I have found.
Meet Stanley and Lilly. The little dogs with great big characters. I take them with me wherever I go, as far as possible, so they feature in lots of my photos. Get to know their personalities and fall a little bit in love with the Chinese Crested bred.

One of the great joys of camping and campervan life is the necessity and ability to be able to cook and eat outdoors. It can take a little bit of prior preparation and planning, but for me, few culinary experience beat the outdoor dining experience – especially accompanied by a cold glass of wine. To me, this signals the start of a leisurely lunch or evening meal and something I always look forward to. Here I’ll share some of my recipes and techniques, but as a vegetarian, they will be plant based only.
